In more ways than one, Mount Abu’s USP lies in the fact that its people are extraordinarily buoyant, warm and hospitable towards one and all. The festival primarily celebrates this zeal and vigour of the place jeopardizing it with its cultural shades and avant garde like locations. 

The three day long fest commences in a grand fashion with a ‘Mount Abu Carnival’ or a ceremonial procession, which starts from the RTDC Hotel Shikhar and eventually, assembles at the Nakki Lake Chowk. Nakki Lake is a very famous one of the city, which is significant for the belief that it came into existence when the Gods digged the lake- bed with their nails or the ‘nakh’ and thus, the name Nakki followed. There is a beautiful riveting serenading, which takes place post the procession and then, the traditional folk music and dance performances like Ghoomar, Gair and Dhap etc. by renowned professional artists follow soon. The first day of the fest paints an enchanting picture, which leaves the visitors and participants waiting and eager for the second day.
